On the first Friday of December, the Town of Guilford conducts its “Annual Tree Lighting” on the green.
All the Churches surrounding the green participate in this event and open their doors to the community with choral concerts and offering a Chile supper.
The Knights of Columbus are responsible for conducting the complimentary Hot Cider and Cookie reception hosted by St. George Church and held in the church hall.
Thousands of cookies, provided by the parishioners of St. George, along with Hot Mulled Cider, Hot Chocolate, Coffee and Tea are enjoyed by nearly 1000 residents and friends, and is a great way to Kick-Off the Holiday Season.
